Have you ever applied yourself to something that you had high hopes of receiving such as a job, a school or even an audition and got rejected? I’m sure the answer is YES! It’s imperative to understand that God has something special and better for you. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “God’s rejection is your protection.” As it may be typical to receive this after being or feeling rejected, it’s honestly the truth.
Let’s take Jennifer Hudson for example. Both Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia Barrino were on the same season of America Idol. Hudson literally made it to the final three before she was eliminated. To a shallow mind, it may appear that she lost, and her dreams are over. Yet, it was God ordained for her to lose so that both her and Fantasia could win in their own way. Fantasia won the competition and became the next American Idol, while God allowed Jennifer to win another way. Shortly after she lost the competition, she was blessed by receiving a major role in the remake of Dream Girls, which enhanced her career in an astounding and blessed way!
You see, God already has your entire life mapped out for you. However, it’s up to you to follow in your destiny. I was taught to “Walk by faith and not by sight.” In the midst of the darkness, it can be very difficult to see the light. However, you must be open-minded and strong-spirited to understand that God never makes any mistakes and any doubt or fear that you are facing must be eliminated and replaced with faith and understanding.
Below are two scriptures to remember and to know when you feel discouraged from rejection!
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
