Jordan Peele Reboots "Twilight Zone"

{Writer: Brittany Chisem]

The renowned Jordan Peele first captured viewers attention as a comedian. However, he's proven to be far more than a comedic individual. The brilliant director, producer, and actor is set to reboot the prominent television series, The Twilight Zone. Peele will replace the legendary host Rod Serling. Peele is coming as a triple threat with narrating and hosting the televised show and he has already began production for the series.

CBS All Access shared a video announcement for the start of production that also coincides to clips from the notable episodes. Also, Simon Kinberg was announced as a producer joining Peele in the new trailer. Kinberg has produced several X-Men films, and even directed the upcoming Dark Phoenix movie.

Originally, Twilight Zone was a science fiction series that focused on odd incidences that told a broader story about the human experience. Audiences were left curious about life's largest mysteries at the finish of each episode, which eventually drove the show into worldwide popularity. Mystery and science-fiction often pair well together, which Peele used both to develop his horror film Get Out.

The Twilight Zone is set to premiere in 2019.
