Miley Cyrus newest musical release was her 2017 album Younger Now that ended in the Indie Pop genre. Though the interesting album sold records, Miley has decided to take a route in another musical genre direction. Cyrus announced that she is linking up with Mike Will Made It for her upcoming album. The pair have previously collaborated on Miley's 2013 album, Bangerz.
During a visit with 95.5 PLJ in New York, Miley described how her next project will not only have Hip-Hop elements but will also have a Modern/Classic vibe.
"Mine is a little heavier than ["Nothing Breaks Like A Heart"]. A song that he and I have done together is more rock driven, modern Debbie Harry or Joan Jett. Then we've got songs with Mike Will that lean more hip-hop and songs with Andrew Wyatt that lean more pop/alternative. I just have kind of everything."
"I think this ["Nothing Breaks Like A Heart"] is a nice introduction to the sound that we've got going on with the next record," Miley told the station. Miley's album is set to release June 2019.
